Yutta Academy’s Chinese curriculum follows guidelines provided by Ministry of Education of The People’s Republic of China. Our Chinese lessons and worksheet are in simplified Chinese characters, since People’s Republic of China, mainland China uses Simplified Chinese.

Yutta Academy’s Chinese curriculum covers the five strands of the Chinese Language arts, which are reading, writing, speaking, listening, and viewing (visual literacy).

For Chinese Language Arts, Yutta Academy students will study the subjects such as:

1. Chinese characters
2. Pin yin (Chinese Phonics)
3. Handwriting
4. Chinese words
5. Speaking
6. Reading
7. Grammar
8. Writing Composition

The subjects that a student studies varies depending on his or her grade level, for instance, a kindergartener will only learn to identify Chinese words from pictures, do not learn grammar and writing. For high school students, reading and writing composition are the focus of the courses.
